Making Cosmetics notches new Milan attendance record

The 2025 edition of the Making Cosmetics trade show in Milan, Italy recorded its highest ever attendance with a 25% increase on last year.

Vindicating the relocation to the Fiera Milano exhibiiton centre in the suburb of Rho, the event co-hosted with in-Vitality welcomed 5,589 visitors and 304 exhibitors.

That compared to 4,472 visitors and 285 exhibitors at last year's show at the Allianz MiCo convention centre in Milan city centre.

“Despite the logistical challenges of relocating to Rho, the events achieved remarkable growth,” said event director Sara Valorz.

“This surge underscores the events’ growing importance as premier platforms for innovation, networking, and business development,” she added.

Meanwhile, Lubrizol, Safic-Alcan and Seppic won the Wise Ingredients awards at Making Cosmetics.

Lubrizol’s Lectroglaze biotech ingredient took the Creative Innovation prize dedicated to revolutionary solutions aligned with market trends, functionality and sensoriality.

Safic-Alcan’s Siliphos was the winner in the Delivery System category, celebrating cutting-edge ingredient delivery technologies.

Meanwhile, Seppic’s Sepibliss Oil won the Inside Out category, highlighting ingredients suitable for both cosmetic and nutraceutical applications.
