Givaudan unveils next-gen skin care active delivery system

Givaudan Active Beauty has launched VectorHyal, a skin delivery system engineered to unlock the full potential of active cosmetic ingredients.

Based on hyaluronic acid (HA), VectorHyal combines advanced encapsulation science with HA engineering to deliver enhanced efficacy and superior stability in multiple cosmetics applications.

By merging high-precision encapsulation with a HA-based biopolymer chassis, the system offers enhanced performance via active molecules penetrating deeper into the skin.

In addition, it offers controlled, gradual release activated by an enzyme trigger for sustained activity.

Also, sensitive ingredients are protected from external disruptors, preserving their integrity from formulation to application.

In addition, the biopolymeric structure enhances visual appeal by enabling the creation of transparent formulas, optimising overall formulation aesthetics.

Versatile by design, VectorHyal accommodates both hydrophilic and lipophilic active ingredients.

Its flexible matrix of HA enables the precise release of encapsulated molecules upon contact with skin enzymes and makes it compatible with an extensive range of formats from serums to creams.

Highly adaptable, it seamlessly supports high-performance formulations without compromising their sensory identity by allowing transparency.

“VectorHyal is more than just a delivery system, it’s a true platform for innovation,” said Dmitri Colesnic, Head of Delivery Systems at Givaudan Active Beauty.

“It empowers brands to push the boundaries of formulation science, elevate consumer experiences and explore new possibilities through a single, versatile system.”

Givaudan will showcase the ingredient at stand 3F130 at in-cosmetics Global in Paris, France on 14-16 April.
