Gatt’Up&Act: Gattefossé’s responsible strategy gains momentum

For several years now, Gattefossé has been committed to a responsible approach based on a collective ambition: to innovate responsibly and act with care in the face of environmental and social emergencies.

This dynamic ambition is reflected in a structured roadmap, Gatt'Up&Act, which is now based on 25 ambitious and realistic objectives designed to guide the group's actions for the next decade.

  • Preserving the environment and reducing its footprint

Responsible water management is one of the key initiatives undertaken by the group in recent years. By optimizing its industrial processes and strengthening its monitoring tools, the company has been able to significantly reduce its water consumption while maintaining industrial performance and product quality.

In 2024, adjustments to production campaigns resulted in savings of 800 m³ of water. The company is planning several significant investments over the next two years, such as the installation of a cleaning-in-place system, which is expected to reduce water consumption by 60 to 80%.

The traceability of raw materials is another key area for improvement. The company is strengthening its monitoring tools and working with its partners to ensure greater transparency regarding the origin of its raw materials and their production conditions. By 2030, Gattefossé aims to achieve total, sustainable traceability without contributing to deforestation for 100% of its bio-based materials used in personal care applications. In 2025, the traceability of palm oil and palm kernel oil derivatives to the plantations increased from 74% to 81%.

These advances enable the group to improve the quality of its products while supporting more responsible supply chains.

  • Promoting employee well-being

Aware that sustainable performance depends on its teams, Gattefossé is stepping up its initiatives to promote well-being at work. These include the deployment of specific job-related training, medical check-ups for employees over 50, and the improvement of workspace. These actions aim to create an environment where everyone can grow, develop their skills, and engage serenely. By 2030, the roadmap includes raising awareness of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and rolling out women's leadership programs in all affiliates.

  • Strengthening its social impact

Gattefossé is also consolidating its commitment to society through local solidarity initiatives and educational and environmental programs. In 2024, more than 963 hours were devoted to volunteering. The Group's goal is to enable 100% of its teams to participate in solidarity initiatives.

In 2025, in addition to the sponsorship program in the French Réunion island and Malaysia, the Gattefossé Group continues to provide financial support to the Oz’Arbres association in Madagascar, which is committed to ecological and humanitarian reforestation. In 2024, 262,457 young plants were distributed and replanted by local communities.
