US personal care ingredient manufacturer Curie Co has launched AmpliPQ-CF, a modern preservation system purpose-built for clean and sustainable formulations.
The Durham, North Carolina maker says AmpliPQ-CF boosts the efficacy of sodium benzoate in formulations, enabling robust, broad-spectrum protection with competitive cost in use.
AmpliPQ-CF can be used across a wide range of rinse-off and leave-on applications, such as shampoos, conditioners, facial cleansers, and body washes, in pH 3–6 systems
Built on Curie Co’s AmpliPQ technology platform, AmpliPQ-CF is a chelator-free preservation system that combines sodium benzoate with a polyamine booster to deliver accelerated, broad-spectrum protection in formulations at or below pH 6.
It is water-soluble, colourless, and odourless in formulation, and compatible with fragrances and dyes, supporting modern sensory expectations without complicating development.
Brands and formulators face growing pressure to preserve beauty products with fewer, more broadly acceptable components while still delivering uncompromised microbiological protection.
“AmpliPQ-CF delivers the preservation simplicity brands want, while meeting modern expectations for performance and clean beauty alignment,” said Erika Milczek, CEO of Curie Co.
“It’s another step forward in helping formulators protect products confidently, without sacrificing the consumer and retailer requirements shaping today’s market,” she added.
AmpliPQ-CF is readily biodegradable, compliant with US and EU regulations, and is designed to meet many clean beauty and retailer standards, including Clean Beauty at Walmart, Target Clean, Conscious Beauty at Ulta, and Sephora.
