PCHi to see flurry of ingredient global launches at Hangzhou debut

Western companies Givaudan, BASF, Croda, Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant, Evonik, Lubrizol, and Ashland will be joined by leading Chinese innovators such as Shanghai Huiwen Biotech, Shanghai Keqin Biotechnology, and Jaka Biotech to unveil their latest ingredients.

The product launches will be actioned through coordinated ceremonies on the opening day of the three-day event on 18 March at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Spanning more than 70,000 square metres, the new venue is expected to gather over 860 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions and welcome upwards of 50,000 professionals.

The scale reflects sustained global interest in China’s ingredients landscape, where domestic innovation capacity is rising in parallel with international participation.

Additional show floor features will include the New Product Showcase, the Mintel-supported PCHi Innovation Zone translating consumer trends into finished product concepts, and a dedicated Sustainability Zone highlighting environmentally conscious ingredients and packaging approaches.

Complementing the exhibition, the PCHi Annual Industry Conference and New Technology Sessions will comprise more than 200 sessions addressing regulatory updates, scientific research, market trends, and practical applications.

In addition, the Fountain Awards will recognise outstanding innovations that set benchmarks in ingredient functionality, formulation design, and applied science.

After a rigorous evaluation process assessing factors such as safety, technical merit and market potential, 56 products from 46 companies, and nine engineers have been shortlisted for the 2026 awards.

“PCHi has always reflected the pulse of China’s personal care and homecare sector,” said a spokeswoman for show organiser Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions.

“With its first edition in Hangzhou, the 2026 show not only showcases the latest ingredients and products, but also highlights innovations emerging from a city at the forefront of biotech and high-tech development—helping attendees anticipate trends and make informed decisions for both the Chinese and global markets,” shea dded.
