Preparation:
Production Heat phases A and B separately to about 80 deg C. Stir phase B into phase A and homogenize. Stir phase C into combined phases A and B and homogenize. Cool down to 40 deg C whilst stirring. Add phase D. Adjust the pH value with phase E to about 6.5. Add phase F and homogenize. Cool to room temperature whilst stirring. Recommendation: Manufacturing without inert gas. Packaging has to be done in oxygen-impermeable containers, eg Aluminium-lined tubes

Properties: Viscosity 37000 mPa s Brookfield RVD VII+ pH value 6.3 BASF Ingredients Cremophor A6 and A25: o/w emulsifiers, provides stable emulsion base Uvinul A Plus: Photostable UV-A filter, easy to formulate, high compatibilities with most cosmetic ingredients Uvinul MC80: Organic UV-B filter Edeta BD: Chelating agent D-Panthenol 75W: Prevents vitamin B5 deficiency, long-lasting moisturizer and improves normal keratinization of the skin Luvigel EM: Liquid thickener which can simplify the whole manufacturing process. Also allows post-addition for viscosity adjustment and not shear sensitive Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate: Promotes collagen formation in the skin and protects skin cells by scavenging free radicals Vitamin E Acetate: Moisturiser, provides anti-inflammatory effects and scavenges free radicals Bisabolol rac: Provides anti-inflammatory effect and especially good for care of sensitive skin RetiSTAR: Stabilised form of Retinol, good for anti-aging properties
