Gattefossé unveils Haute Couture formulation collection

French cosmetic actives maker Gattefossé has taken the wraps off Haute Couture, a collection of six formulations inspired by six iconic fabrics: cotton, velvet, silk, cashmere, elastane, and vinyl.

Gattefossé France's applications laboratory has dedicated a full year of research to developing a series of inventive textures designed to spark imagination and open new horizons in cosmetic formulation.

From the fluidity of silk to the enveloping softness of cashmere, each formula is a unique creation designed to enhance the skin like a ‘second skin’ garment.

With this new collection, Gattefossé brings beauty into the world of fashion, celebrating materials that inspire both touch and emotion.

Silky drape, cocoon-like velvet, satiny radiance, and the sensual shine of vinyl come together to create a true sensory runway experience.

“Fashion and beauty now share the same ambition: delivering a sensory experience! This new collection, at the crossroads of fashion and beauty, blends their codes and highlights the importance of touch — which has become a true criterion of desirability — with textures that glide over the skin like haute couture pieces enhancing the body,” said Marine Lochouarn, marketing manager, Gattefossé France.

The formulations include From the Cocooning Softness of Cotton: Cotton Fluff | 3061-1.09 facial cream, which has a creamy, bouncy, marshmallow-like sensorial profile that melts on contact with the skin, transforming into an enveloping softness thanks to Emulium Dolcea MB.

It also features To the Elasticity of Elastane: Elaskin Bi-gel | 3062-3.03 face gel-cream, which provides an ultra-fresh sensation on application thanks to Emulfree CBG MB.
