French active ingredients maker Solabia has agreed to acquire Swiss counterpart Mibelle Biochemistry from Persán for an undisclosed sum.
The transaction comes less than a year after Spanish personal and home care product maker Persán acquired Mibelle Group, the parent company of ingredient maker Mibelle Biochemistry, from Swiss retailer Migros.
Founded in 1991, Mibelle Biochemistry offers a science-backed portfolio spanning skin beauty, healthy aging, hair care, and cognitive support, with distribution in more than 50 countries.
Solabia said the acquisition of Mibelle Biochemistry strengthens Solabia’s leadership in natural and high-performance active ingredients by bringing together two science-driven organisations with highly complementary expertise in advanced biotechnology, plant-based science and sustainable innovation.
Customers will benefit from a broader portfolio while continuing to rely on the known Swiss-made quality of Mibelle Biochemistry, it added.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming months. Financial terms were not disclosed.
