DSM-Firmenich has signed a sun care technology development memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ASTech, a Korean company specializing in UV filter ingredients.
Signed in Seoul, the agreement will see the duo collaborate on UV filter ingredient technology and establish a foundation for expanding global market share.
Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue: a stable supply chain for high-performance UV filter ingredients; the development of new UV filter components and promoting technical exchange; and collaborating on marketing to expand in global markets.
“By combining ASTech’s advanced ingredient manufacturing capabilities with DSM-Firmenich’s extensive global network and R&D strengths, the companies expect to create unique synergies in the increasingly sophisticated global sun care market,” said a DSM-Firmenich spokeswoman.
