Brazilian personal care ingredient maker AmazonOil has signed up ChemQuest International to serve as its exclusive distributor in the United States.
AmazonOil’s portfolio features ingredients such as açaí oil, pracaxi oil, cupuaçu butter, copaíba oil, murumuru butter, bacuri butter, along with select plant extracts, mineral-rich clays, and exfoliating scrubs used across skin care, hair care, and body care applications.
With an emphasis on full traceability, fair compensation, and respect for local ecosystems, AmazonOil places meaningful value on keeping the forest standing and sustaining the families who depend on it.
AmazonOil works directly with local producers and regional partners to support ethical harvesting and processing practices that preserve biodiversity while creating long-term economic opportunities for communities throughout the Amazon region.
This approach closely aligns with ChemQuest International’s focus on sustainability, transparency, and responsible sourcing as core elements of its supplier partnerships.
“AmazonOil represents a deep connection to origin, community, and responsible stewardship of the Amazon,” said Amaan Abbas, Vice President of Business Development for ChemQuest International.
“Their approach goes beyond ingredients to reflect respect for the land, the people who harvest it, and the long-term preservation of these ecosystems. We’re excited to partner with a company that enables brands to formulate with materials that carry real environmental and social meaning.”
“At AmazonOil, sustainability is not a concept. It is how we operate every day,” said Dr. Ekkehard Gutjahr, director of business development at AmazonOil.
“Partnering with ChemQuest International gives us the right partner to responsibly expand our presence in the United States, allowing us to support brands with traceable, ethically sourced ingredients while maintaining the integrity of our sourcing model and the communities behind it,” he added.
