Preparation:
Mixing Procedure
- Place the Carbopol Ultrez 10 into the deionized water at room temperature. Allow for the Carbopol Ultrez 10 to hydrate. Heat the solution to 70°C with propeller agitation.
- Disperse the preservative in the Glycerin, USP and heat the mixture to 70°C. Add this to Phase A with propeller agitation.
- Mix all components of Phase B together and heat to 70°C. With rapid propeller agitation, add Phase B to Phase A to form the emulsion.
- Add Phase C to Phase AB with propeller agitation. Move the mixture to the homogenizer and agitate until a smooth cream is formed.
- Dissolve the Floraesters K-20W Jojoba in the deionized water of Phase D. Add to the mixture while using the homogenizer to blend the formula.
- Add all ingredients of Phase E to the mixture using the homogenizer to disperse and blend each one completely into the mix.
- Dissolve the Florasolvs PEG-150 Hydrogenated Jojoba in the deionized water of Phase F at 70°C. Add this solution to the mixture while using the homogenizer to blend the formula. Cool the mixture to room temperature.
